Located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Château in the former district prisons, disused since 1964, the Galerie du Château has been exhibiting artists from all horizons since 1977.
Always characters, but in different forms. Characters emerging from nothing, walking towards an unknown, uncertain destination, symbolising the world of doubt and precariousness. These characters are always present, but are no longer necessarily the main theme. They are still visible in the graphic documents, illustrations and illuminations that accompany the texts.
I use the body in this new research as a graphic sign replacing the letter, the word, in a page mirror. It is the repetition of bodies that creates the grey of the mirror. The whole of this work is a nod to incunabula, illustrated magazine models, etc...
A second area of research in this work consists of tearing up drawings and texts, mixing them and putting them together randomly by sewing and collage.
Each work is in fact the page of a book, a magazine, etc...
Man and his body write their own history.
