Recently renovated, the Hôtel-de-Ville cellar hosts a programme of quality concerts organised by the Commune of Avenches.
KRÜÜG was originally created for a one-off show to mark the 10th anniversary of Payerne's Silver Club in 2011, and performed at the legendary venue for what was supposed to be a one-off concert! In principle only, because following the success of the evening and the enthusiasm of the audience, KRÜÜG decided to continue the adventure: a band was born!
This was followed by a series of concerts in the Broye region, notably in Payerne, Domdidier and Estavayer-le-Lac, then a little further afield in Fribourg and Yverdon, much to the delight of the many hard rock fans in French-speaking Switzerland. Made up of Philo (vocals), Nicolas (lead guitar), Alain (rhythm guitar), Pierre-André (bass) and Jérôme (drums), KRÜÜG are different from other cover bands. Their repertoire is essentially made up of hard rock and heavy metal covers from the 70s to 2000. They cover the great standards and lesser-known songs by bands like Saxon and Motörhead, as well as Judas Priest, AC/DC, Metallica, UFO, Billy Idol, Steppenwolf and Trust.
