The Christmas Village takes place in the Place de l'Eglise throughout December.

The Avenches Christmas Village invites you to the Place de l'Église from 1 to 22 December 2024.
In a magical setting, you'll find chalets, illuminated Christmas trees, a curling rink and plenty of entertainment. Young and old alike can enjoy shows, children's workshops and a gourmet market to round off the event on 22 December.
Access is free, so everyone can share a warm moment with family and friends over mulled wine and seasonal specialities.

Advent Windows
During the Advent period, the residents and shopkeepers of Avenches are decorating their windows and shop windows to create a magical atmosphere in the run-up to the festive season.
You are cordially invited to come and discover and stroll through the streets and alleys of Avenches from 1 to 20 December on the theme of "Christmas in the chalet!
The Fenêtres de l'Avent mug is on sale at the Tourist Office for CHF 3.50.

Curling and activities for children
An artificial curling rink and games are available free of charge when the Christmas Village is open!
Wednesday afternoons and some Fridays and Saturdays will be reserved for children, with Christmas workshops organised by the ARPEJE.
There's no need to register, just pop along to the ARPEJE stand in the Christmas Village!
Pony rides organised by Ferme des Biolles will also take place on Wednesdays 11 and 18 December from 2pm to 4.30pm.
